Hobbies
I am married with two awesome active boys one of which has special needs. I understand the struggle and frustration that often occurs when a child does not progress as others think they should. Each child has a unique way of learning and understanding the world and how it works. Every child can learn and it is my job to tap into their learning style and help them grow and reach their goals. I am certified as a Reading Recovery teacher which allows me to understand and correct many of the early reading problems that many children exhibit. These habits can hinder a child and their progress and once replaced children often soar. I have a special place in my heart for students who struggle and I taught Exceptional Education for several years. I celebrated every success with my students both little and big as every one counts. Learning is more than just a book, it is how we problem solve and how we interact with the knowledge around us each day. I would be honored to work with your child and assist them in looking at learning in a different way.
